Spalding Twp., MI (March 10, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident reported in Spalding Township claimed one person’s life on Friday morning, March 8. The Menominee County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident just after 8:20 a.m.

According to reports, two vehicles were involved in a head-on collision in the area of US Highway 2 & 41 and County Road 400. Authorities arrived at the scene and located a 58-year-old woman from Perronville, Michigan, with severe injuries. She was immediately pronounced deceased. The incident prompted the response of the Hermansville Rescue, Rampart EMS, Guardian Flight air ambulance, the Spalding Township Fire Department, and the Harris Township Fire Department. Multiple victims from the involved vehicles were injured and transported by ambulance and helicopters to area hospitals for further medical care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
