Birch Run Twp., MI (March 21, 2024) – Three people were injured in a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Wednesday morning and claimed one person’s life in Saginaw County. The Saginaw County Sheriff’s Office and area firefighters were called to the scene of the accident at around 8:30 a.m. on March 20.

Reports show that a collision involving a Chevrolet van and a BMW occurred on Dixie Highway near Birch Road in Birch Run Township. Authorities arrived at the scene and located the vehicles that were severely damaged. The driver of the BMW, identified as a 35-year-old woman from Spalding Township, and her two passengers, an 8-year-old and a 15-year-old, were all seriously injured. The victims were rushed to area hospitals for emergency care. A 68-year-old man involved in the accident was fatally injured. He was pronounced deceased while at the scene by paramedics. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
