Richland Twp., MI – Man Killed in Car Crash on M-89

Richland Twp., MI (March 23, 2024) – A man lost his life as a result of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday afternoon in Richland Township. The accident occurred at around 2:30 p.m. on March 22.

Preliminary reports show that a collision involving a westbound vehicle and an eastbound vehicle occurred on Michigan 89 during the afternoon hours. The Kalamazoo County Sheriff’s Office responded to the scene of the accident and located a red pickup truck and a second vehicle blocking the road. Both drivers were injured in the accident. An 85-year-old man involved in the accident was pronounced deceased as a result of their injuries. A 46-year-old man was treated for injuries. The accident is under investigation.
