Wexford Co., MI - Pedestrian Killed in Crash on M-115

Wexford Co., MI (March 13, 2024) – A motor vehicle accident in Wexford County early Thursday morning, March 13, claimed the life of a 41-year-old Cadillac man.

Authorities reported that a pedestrian was walking along Michigan 115 near West Division Street in Cherry Grove Township when he was struck by a vehicle around 6:00 a.m. The Wexford County Sheriff’s Office stated that a 26-year-old driver from Marion was traveling northeast on the roadway when his vehicle struck the pedestrian, who was walking southeast.

Emergency responders arrived at the scene but were unable to save the pedestrian. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The roadway near M-115 and West Division Street was shut down temporarily, with traffic being rerouted to North Boulevard while authorities conducted their investigation. At this time, the cause of the crash remains under review by the sheriff’s office.
