Car Accidents in Michigan

Warren, MI - Rollover Crash Reported at 12 Mile Rd & Schoenherr RdVehicle rollovers are among the most dangerous types of crashes, often resulting in serious injury or death. In Michigan, rollovers contribute to a number of the more than 70,000 injuries reported annually from over 293,000 crashes statewide in 2023.

These types of accidents bring unique challenges. Here’s what victims should know about injuries caused by rollover crashes:

  • Head and Brain Injuries: Rollover crashes often cause occupants to hit their heads on the roof, windows, or steering wheel. This can result in concussions, skull fractures, or traumatic brain injuries. Some of these injuries may require long-term treatment and can permanently alter a victim’s quality of life.
  • Neck and Spinal Injuries: The violent motion of a rollover can cause severe strain on the neck and back. Victims may experience slipped discs, nerve damage, or even partial paralysis. These injuries often lead to lengthy recovery periods and expensive rehabilitation.
  • Crush Injuries: When a vehicle rolls over, parts of the body may become pinned or crushed by the vehicle’s structure. This can result in broken bones, internal damage, or limb-threatening trauma that sometimes requires surgical intervention.
  • Lacerations and Soft Tissue Damage: Flying glass and twisted metal can lead to deep cuts and muscle injuries. Victims may require stitches, skin grafts, or other procedures. Scarring and loss of motion are common after these types of wounds.
  • Psychological Effects: Even after physical recovery, rollover accidents can leave emotional scars. Anxiety, nightmares, or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) can affect victims for months or even years after the crash.

If you were involved in a crash like this, it’s critical to speak with a Warren car accident attorney right away. An attorney can help document your injuries, gather witness statements, and handle negotiations with insurance companies. This support ensures that your focus remains on recovery—not fighting for what you’re owed.
