St. Clair Shores, MI (May 3, 2025) – A fatal sequence of events unfolded Thursday night, May 1, on westbound Interstate 94 in St. Clair Shores, leaving one man dead. According to Michigan State Police, the crash occurred around 9:30 p.m. near the 10 Mile Road overpass.
The victim had reportedly been involved in a single-vehicle crash and exited his vehicle onto the left shoulder of the freeway. As he stood outside, another vehicle lost control, veered off the road, and struck him. The impact caused the victim to fall into the left lane, where a second vehicle also hit him. The man was transported to a hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
The first driver who hit the victim was taken into custody under suspicion of impairment. The second driver remained at the scene and was released after cooperating with law enforcement. Michigan State Police continue to investigate the incident.
