Orville Pickard Dies Weeks after Davison Township Crash at Irish and Davison Roads

Davison Township, MI. - An 88-year-old man has died while receiving treatment for injuries sustained in a car crash that occurred nearly three weeks ago in Davison Township.

According to the Davison Township Police Department, the accident happened at the intersection of Irish and Davison roads on April 12.

88-year-old Orville Pickard was driving a 2023 Chevrolet Equinox north on Irish Road when a 22-year-old man driving a 2011 Volvo sedan reportedly ran a red light at the intersection and slammed into the vehicle.

Pickard and his passenger, a 68-year-old woman, were transported to hospital in critical condition.

Sadly, Pickard succumbed to his injuries this week.

The unidentified woman remains in critical condition.

Authorities are yet to establish the cause of the accident.
