Woman Killed in Boston Township Crash on Centerline Road

Boston Township, MI. – One person was killed in a head-on collision near Lowell in Boston Township on Saturday evening.

According to the Ionia County Sheriff’s Office, the fatal accident happened around 6 p.m. on Centerline Road near Pinckney Road.

A vehicle was traveling east when it reportedly veered into the opposite lane and collided head-on with another car.

A Lowell woman driving one of the cars was found unconscious in one of the cars and was pronounced dead at the accident scene.

The occupants of the second vehicle were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe speed and alcohol were factors in the collision.

An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
