Birch Run, MI (May 12, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to an injury crash at the intersection of Dixie Highway and Birch Run Road on the afternoon of Saturday, May 10, involving at least one person who may have been pinned inside a smoking vehicle.
The collision was reported at approximately 1:45 p.m., prompting a response from Birch Run Police, Birch Run Fire Department, and MMR ambulance services. First responders arrived to find at least one vehicle smoking and possibly someone trapped inside. Crews worked to secure the scene, assess injuries, and free any individuals who may have been unable to exit their vehicle on their own.
Injured victims were evaluated on the scene, and at least one was transported to a nearby hospital for further medical care.
