Richfield Township, MI - Fatal Head-On Crash on State Rd Leaves One Dead

Richfield Township, MI (May 15, 2025) – A deadly head-on collision claimed the life of one man and left another in critical condition Monday morning in Genesee County. The crash occurred around 10:10 a.m. on North State Road near East Coldwater Road, just north of Davison.

According to the Richfield Township Police Department, the driver of a 2005 Ford Taurus, a 36-year-old man from Lapeer, was heading northbound on Michigan 15 when his vehicle collided head-on with a Chevrolet Trailblazer driven by a 30-year-old Richfield Township resident. The Lapeer man was pronounced dead at the scene. The Richfield Township man suffered severe abdominal injuries and was rushed by ambulance to Hurley Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. The crash is currently under investigation.
