Pinconning, MI - Teen Killed, Others Hurt in Mable St Head-On Crash

Pinconning, MI (May 31, 2025) – A tragic collision claimed the life of a recent graduate and left two others seriously hurt in Pinconning on May 29. The crash occurred on Mable Street, near Mary Street, at approximately 2:55 p.m.

According to the Bay County Sheriff's Office, a GMC Sierra pickup truck traveling northbound on Mable Street crossed over the center line and collided head-on with a Jeep Limited. The vehicles sustained heavy damage, and all three individuals involved — the driver of the pickup, the victim, and the victim’s sister — were found unconscious and trapped inside.

Fire crews arrived and used hydraulic rescue tools to extricate everyone from the wreckage. The victim and his sister were rushed by ambulance to a nearby hospital. Tragically, the victim succumbed to his injuries. His sister remains hospitalized in serious but stable condition. Meanwhile, the driver of the GMC Sierra was airlifted by FlightCare helicopter to MyMichigan Medical Center in Midland, where he was listed in critical condition as of Friday. Investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
