Sanilac Co., MI (June 1, 2025) – On May 30, a serious crash involving a horse-drawn buggy and a car occurred around 6:22 p.m. in Sanilac County. Caro Post troopers responded to the scene near the intersection of Peck Road and Isles Road after receiving reports of the collision.

According to investigators, a 35-year-old man was traveling eastbound in a buggy when it was struck from behind by a white passenger car also heading eastbound. The driver of the vehicle did not stop after the crash. As a result, both the man and the horse sustained significant injuries.
