Logan Twp., MI - ORV Crash on Barothy Rd Leaves Teen Critically Injured

Logan Twp., MI (June 6, 2025) – A serious off-road vehicle crash involving two 16-year-old girls from Ludington took place on June 4 in Logan Township, Mason County. Authorities responded to the scene south of Barothy Road at approximately 7:37 p.m.

According to the Mason County Sheriff’s Office, the crash involved a 2017 Honda Rancher 420. Preliminary investigations suggest the vehicle veered off a trail and overturned, trapping the operator underneath. One of the teens sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids for advanced medical care. The other individual involved did not sustain life-threatening injuries.

The Mason County Crash Reconstruction Team continues to investigate the incident. As of now, the critically injured girl's condition remains serious, and further updates are pending.
