Antwerp Twp., MI - Woman Killed, Others Injured in Crash on M-40

Antwerp Township, MI (June 12, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle accident claimed the life of a 64-year-old woman on Thursday afternoon, June 12, in Van Buren County. The crash occurred around 3:30 p.m. on Michigan 40 near 64th Avenue in Antwerp Township, according to the Van Buren County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies responded quickly to the scene and found the woman unresponsive. She had to be extricated from the vehicle, and first responders attempted life-saving measures, but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

A juvenile passenger in her vehicle was transported to a nearby hospital with injuries described as non-life-threatening. The driver of the second vehicle involved was also hospitalized for similar injuries. Authorities have asked anyone with information about the crash to contact the Van Buren County Sheriff’s detectives as the investigation remains ongoing.
