Algoma Twnshp, MI - Motorcyclist Killed in Vehicle Collision at 13 Mile Rd & Northland Dr

Algoma Township, MI (August 7, 2023) - Deputies say a motorcyclist died in a collision that occurred on Monday in Algoma Township.

Around 3:50 p.m., the collision occurred near the intersection of 13 Mile Road and Northland Drive NE. As reported by the Kent County Sheriff's Office, a motorcycle traveling south on Northland Drive collided with a northbound Ford Mustang making a left turn onto 13 Mile Road.

The motorcyclist, a 24-year-old man from Rockford, Illinois, was killed. Deputies added that the driver, a 75-year-old Rockford man, suffered minor injuries.

The Kent County Sheriff's Office is looking into what caused the collision. No further details were disclosed.
