Roseville, MI (August 17, 2023) - A teenager was killed in a collision in Roseville, and state police arrived at the scene shortly thereafter to begin their investigation late Thursday night, August 17.

Commissioner Bill Dwyer in Warren reported that the victim killed was 14 years old. Officers added that he was reportedly walking up the Groesbeck on-ramp to Interstate 696 when the incident occurred. Despite life-saving measures attempted by paramedics, the boy was pronounced dead at the scene.

State police also said that the motorist involved left the site of the accident and has not yet come forward. Michigan State Police are still investigating in the meantime and asked any eyewitnesses to contact them.
