Charlotte, MI - Car Wreck Causes Injuries on M-43 near I-96

Charlotte, MI (March 17, 2022) - A major vehicle accident was reported to officials in Charlotte on March 17. At approximately 9:37 p.m., sources say the wreck happened on M-43. 

Reports indicate the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes of M-43 at Interstate 96. The roadway was closed in the area while crews responded to the scene. 

At least one person was hurt in the wreck that occurred for reasons still being investigated by local police. EMTs, fire crews, and police officers were seen assisting those involved at the site of the wreck. 

Injured victims were loaded into ambulances and transported to local hospitals. Currently, the extent of any injuries suffered remains unknown. 

Authorities in Charlotte continue to investigate.
