Brewer, MI - Hit-and-Run Pedestrian Wreck on Eastern Ave Under Investigation

Brewer, MI (July 20, 2023) - A driver involved in a hit-and-run accident that took place on Saturday and injured a pedestrian is being sought by Brewer Police.

According to Brewer officers, the accident occurred on Friday night at 8:30 p.m. A pedestrian was hit and seriously injured in the incident, and Brewer Police were dispatched to the scene of the crash shortly thereafter. The victim remains hospitalized with major injuries.

Police are now appealing to the general public for assistance in locating the suspect car and driver. Officials say the driver headed along Eastern Avenue in the direction of Holden as they fled the scene in a silver-colored Toyota Camry or Avalon. Officers added that the front passenger side should have damage.

The Brewer Police Department is urging anybody who believes they may have information relating to this inquiry to get in touch with them right away. The BPD's investigation continues in the meantime.
