West Bloomfield Township, MI (July 22, 2023) - West Bloomfield Township firefighters saved two individuals from a house fire during the early evening hours on Saturday, but both victims had to be taken to the hospital.

Just before 6:00 p.m., fire crews were dispatched to Red Coat Lane in West Bloomfield Township in response to a report of a home fire. Firefighters were able to save two people from the house when they arrived, and both of those victims were taken by ambulance to the nearest hospital for further treatment.

The blaze was ultimately extinguished, but its cause has yet to be determined. Firefighters confirmed the presence of operational smoke detectors, though an investigation by authorities remains ongoing.
