Michigan Motor Vehicle Accidents
Across the nation, major contributors to motor vehicle accidents have remained relatively consistent for the past 50 years. Information from statistics provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration shows that driver error is a factor in 94% of all auto accidents in the United States. The top contributing factors to Detroit and Michigan car crashes include:
- Drunk/high driving
- Aggressive driving
- Distracted driving
- Bad weather
- Texting and driving
- Cracked/degraded roads
- Vehicle component failures
- Slick/icy roads
It is worth mentioning that Michigan is rated the most dangerous and deadly state when it comes to driving in the winter months. More fatalities occur due to car accidents that happen during Michigan winters than Alaskan winter crashes.
Contacting a Michigan car accident lawyer is in your best interest if you have recently been injured in an auto crash. An attorney will be able to help you understand the importance of your existing legal right toward financial compensation if you believe that your injuries were the result of another person’s negligence.
