Detroit, MI - Rear-End Collision on I-94 at Sprinkle Rd Results in Injuries

Detroit, MI (July 25, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department responded to a complaint of injuries following a rear-end incident on westbound Interstate 94, close to Kalamazoo, on Tuesday evening, July 25.

According to the DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation, the incident happened at around 6:50 p.m. between the center and left lanes of the highway following Sprinkle Road. Emergency services were contacted, and authorities had to close the route.

After DPD police had rapidly cordoned off most of the road, paramedics quickly arrived, but no details regarding the drivers or their injuries were made public. It's also uncertain if any injured people received additional medical attention at a nearby hospital.

DPD authorities have invited any witnesses to come forward and assist them in their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident.
