Detroit, MI (July 29, 2023) - The Detroit Police Department responded to a report of injuries sustained in an apparent rear-end accident on southbound I-275 on Saturday morning, July 29.
According to the DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation, the incident happened around 10:30 a.m. on the southbound side of the roadway, close to the exit for Ford Road. Emergency workers were called to the scene after officials closed the road so they could conduct their investigation, which seemed to indicate that two to three drivers were involved.
After DPD police had cordoned off most of the road, paramedics quickly arrived. However, no details regarding the drivers or their injuries have been made public. Also unknown is if any injured victims received additional medical attention at a neighboring hospital.
DPD authorities have invited any witnesses to come forward and provide information that would aid in their investigation into the circumstances leading up to the incident.
