Barry Co, MI - Two Critically Hurt in Collision at Patterson & 108th St

Barry County, MI (August 23, 2023) - On Wednesday evening, a car accident left two persons in critical condition in Barry County.

Around 10:40 p.m., deputies received a call about a collision that had occurred near the corner of North Patterson Road and 108th Street. An eastbound Silverado allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign, causing a collision with a northbound Malibu.

The Malibu's driver was airlifted to the hospital by emergency medical services and is in serious condition. The passenger also sustained critical injuries and is still in the hospital. However, police added that the Silverado's driver walked away unscathed.

For several hours, police and cleaning crews worked to determine what happened, though the cause of this accident has yet to be determined. That said, alcohol and drugs are not suspected at this time, according to the sheriff's office.
