Detroit, MI (September 8, 2023) - Due to a collision involving many automobiles on Friday, September 8, the westbound lanes of Interstate 96 were shut down in the Greater Detroit region.

It seems that many automobiles were involved in the Friday night collision that happened near the Newburgh exit. At about 6:30 p.m., an investigating team from the Michigan State Patrol and the Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrived on the site.

The patients were taken to the hospital, but their conditions are unknown at this time.

Authorities in the area have said they are looking into the crash, but no further details have been made public as of yet.

Our thoughts and best wishes are with the injured and their families.
