Detroit, MI (September 11, 2023) – Detroit Police Department officers responded to a significant rollover collision on Michigan Highway 53 on September 11 after receiving an accident alert and a report of injuries.
At around 1:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway, an accident occurred, according to reports from the DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation. Authorities blocked down lanes of traffic at the 26 Mile Road exit to conduct their investigation, and early results indicate that two drivers and a small number of passengers were involved in the rollover collision that prompted the deployment of emergency services.
Shortly after, paramedics came, but we still don’t know anything about the victims’ conditions.
Police are currently looking into the situation and will update as they learn more.
The wounded and their loved ones are in our thoughts at this time.
Managing the Fallout of a Michigan Accident
The national and statewide rates of automobile accidents continue to climb. Speeding, irresponsible driving, and driver distraction are three of the leading causes of accidents today, but thankfully, most of these instances may be avoided.
However, if you were hurt because a motorist was reckless or negligent, you may be able to submit a claim and get compensation for your losses. Auto accident victims may face long-term physical pain and suffering, in addition to financial hardships. Even in low-velocity or apparently minor crashes, brain injuries, burns, spinal cord injuries, shattered bones, internal bleeding, and other potentially deadly traumas are all too prevalent. Victims also deal with post-traumatic stress disorder, worry, frustration, and uncertainty after having their lives turned upside down by an accident.
However, if you’re trying to make ends meet after a vehicle accident that was obviously the fault of another motorist, Michigan’s personal injury legislation might be difficult to understand and apply. Insurer adjusters will take any and all steps to avoid paying victims fair and complete compensation when they bargain with them without the assistance of an experienced attorney.
However, if you hire an attorney with expertise in personal injury cases, you have a far better chance of getting the money you need after an accident. Furthermore, when you employ a lawyer on contingency, you will never have to pay any upfront costs. The only way your lawyer gets paid is if they successfully negotiate a settlement or win your case in court. Clients often agree to pay attorneys a percentage (typically 30% to 40%) of any settlement funds. Furthermore, you will not be responsible for any legal costs if your claim is rejected.
At Christopher Trainor & Associates, we understand what evidence is necessary to file a successful personal injury claim on your behalf.
