Detroit, MI - Rollover Collision, Injuries on M-53 at 26 Mile Rd

Detroit, MI (September 11, 2023) - Detroit Police Department officers responded to a significant rollover collision on Michigan Highway 53 on September 11 after receiving an accident alert and a report of injuries.

At around 1:30 p.m. on the northbound side of the highway, an accident occurred, according to reports from the DPD and the Michigan Department of Transportation. Authorities blocked down lanes of traffic at the 26 Mile Road exit to conduct their investigation, and early results indicate that two drivers and a small number of passengers were involved in the rollover collision that prompted the deployment of emergency services.

Shortly after, paramedics came, but we still don't know anything about the victims' conditions.

Police are currently looking into the situation and will update as they learn more.
