Motorcyclists in Michigan may best protect themselves from serious injury in the event of a mishap by being vigilant and always using a helmet with a face shield or other form of protective eyewear. If you were hurt in a motorcycle accident in Michigan, a personal injury attorney may help you fight for compensation.
-Your attorney will file a formal demand to the insurance company after calculating the total amount of your losses (including damages, medical bills, and lost income). After that, your lawyer will negotiate with the insurance company for a payout. Adjusters have the option of submitting a counteroffer if they disagree with the proposed settlement amount.
-Your personal injury attorney may then suggest launching a lawsuit in response to your injuries. The insurance company may offer a greater settlement to keep the matter out of court. Your attorney and the insurer may probably exchange letters and phone calls many times before arriving at a fair compromise. A mediator may probably be required to help the warring parties reach an agreement.
-During mediation, each side is urged to be completely candid about their position. During mediation, the insurance company will typically provide its best offer.
