Madison, MI (September 14, 2023) - Police say they have apprehended a motorist who struck and killed a pedestrian on Wednesday night before fleeing the scene.
On September 13 at about 9:55 p.m., police received a call concerning an accident involving an injured pedestrian on Dequindre Road, south of 12 Mile Road.
They found a 40-year-old male lying in the middle of the road when they arrived. The car involved had already driven away.
A nearby hospital confirmed the man's death. The suspect truck was reportedly found in Warren, and a 32-year-old man was taken into custody. Once the driver is arraigned, the Madison Heights Police Department said they will reveal further details.
