Injuries from Car Crashes in Detroit
Every 10 seconds, a car crash occurs somewhere in the United States, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. Given the awful statistics for both Michigan and the nation as a whole, it is not surprising that the vast majority of personal injury claims now being examined by our courts involve car accidents.
Even if you were involved in a car crash, you still need to see a lawyer. This is true even when things seem simple and you don’t experience any pain. It is well known that people who bring claims with the assistance of an attorney get larger settlements. Many of the victims are wary of retaining legal representation for fear of incurring huge additional expenditures. The majority of personal injury attorneys only handle cases for which payment is dependent.
Having legal representation on your side is probably a good idea in most situations. Your lawyer will handle all communication with the insurance company and any other parties involved on your behalf. You may have faith that your attorney will investigate the situation completely, identify the party or parties responsible for your losses, and provide evidence that will persuade the court that you are entitled to compensation. During the second stage, you may need to conduct interviews with potential witnesses and gather further information.
