Detroit, MI (September 25, 2023) - Officers from the Detroit Police Department received a collision alert and an injury report at the site of a truck rollover and vehicle collision on 18 Mile Road on Monday, September 25.
An accident happened on 18 Mile at Van Dyke Avenue at around 11:30 a.m., according to reports from the Michigan Department of Transportation and the Detroit Police Department. Officials were forced to shut down almost all lanes and request assistance from local authorities after hearing reports of a two-car collision with a jackknifed truck and a number of reported injuries.
It's unknown how many people were sent to the hospital, but paramedics attended to the injured victims shortly after the incident took place. The investigation into the collision is ongoing, and further information will be released when it becomes available.
