Detroit, MI (September 26, 2023) - On the morning of Tuesday, September 26th, police were called to the Detroit metropolitan region in response to a crash involving many automobiles.

An accident happened on eastbound I-696 beyond the Mound Road exit on Tuesday at about 5:30 a.m.

The police said no one was seriously hurt in the crash, but at least two people were sent to the hospital anyhow. The exact sequence of events leading up to the crash is still unclear; however, rapid acceleration was believed to be a major factor.

The probe is still active in the meantime. If any witnesses have any new information, they are urged to call the Detroit Police.

The injured and their loved ones are in our thoughts. We hope for their fast and full recovery.
