Detroit, MI (September 27, 2023) - While picketing outside the GM facility in Genesee County, five protesters were reportedly struck by a vehicle, according to the police.

On Tuesday, September 26, authorities claim a worker drove through a picket line on his way out of the workplace, and he or she then fled the scene. Multiple people were taken to the hospital by Detroit police and are listed as stable. Per officers who arrived at the scene, all five persons involved were injured, though the driver is still at large.

The inquiry is still underway, but no new information has emerged.
