Chesterfield, MI (October 9, 2023) - On October 6th, Chesterfield Township Police Officers and Fire Department Rescue were dispatched to Gratiot Avenue near 23 Mile Road for a serious injury crash.
The crash involved a pickup truck and a motorcycle. The motorcycle driver, a 66-year-old Saint Clair Shores man, was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital. The pickup truck driver, a 20-year-old Algonac man, was evaluated and released at the scene. The motorcycle driver was in critical condition at the hospital and undergoing further treatment in the interim.
The Chesterfield Police Department and a crash reconstructionist from the Michigan State Police are continuing to investigate.
