Detroit, MI (October 20, 2023) - An exit ramp from southbound Michigan Highway 39 was shut down by a multi-vehicle wreck and rear-end collision on Friday afternoon, October 20, and the Detroit Police Department was called to the site of the incident to investigate.

According to a report from the Michigan Department of Transportation for Wayne County, the accident shut down a portion of the ramp to Ford Road and right-hand lanes of the highway. Just before 2:20 p.m., the Detroit Police Department and the Michigan State Police arrived at the site and started their inquiry.

The Detroit Police Department also sought emergency medical help, as at least one person sustained injuries. However, it is presently unclear how many people were hurt.

Detectives from the DPD are completing their inquiry and looking for any witnesses who may have further information. No new information has been given since then.

We are thinking about the injured victims and their loved ones at this time, and we hope for their full recovery.
