Warren, MI (October 28, 2023) - The Warren Fire Department reports that a 43-year-old Detroit man was hit and seriously injured early Monday morning after a SMART Bus hit him at the junction of 8 Mile Road and Van Dyke Avenue.
On Monday morning at about 6:00 p.m., Warren police and fire personnel were sent to the scene after fielding reports of a potential pedestrian accident in the area.
The man reportedly suffered serious injuries to his lower limbs and was transferred to a local hospital. The bus driver reportedly suffered no injuries.
An investigation is still ongoing, though police asked any witnesses to step forward.
