Detroit, MI (November 13, 2023) - A family of seven evacuated a burning house in Detroit out of a second-story window on Saturday morning.

The parents and the five children, all about ten years old or younger, were able to escape from the house, located on the west side. At least two to three of the victims who suffered injuries were treated at the scene by paramedics.

Officials say a two-month-old did have a few broken bones, but that everyone is expected to recover.

The Detroit Fire Department has not yet determined the exact cause or origin of the house fire.

Our thoughts are with the injured victims in hopes of their full recovery.
