Battle Creek, MI - Three Hospitalized, House Damaged in Crash on Kendall St

Battle Creek, MI (November 22, 2023) - On Wednesday, the city of Battle Creek reported that an accident had destroyed part of a home and injured three individuals.

The incident took place at the corner of North Kendall Street and West Manchester Street at around 1:00 p.m. in the afternoon. An eastbound vehicle collided with a southbound vehicle on Kendall Street, according to a municipal statement from Thursday. Per the report, the vehicle traveling eastward failed to yield to a stop sign. Shortly thereafter, one of the vehicles collided with a neighbor's porch. A minor fire broke out, and smoke billowed from the engine. Three individuals were sent to the nearest hospital due to non-life-threatening injuries. The home only suffered damage, per city authorities, but they did not specify whether any of the injured were inside the home at the time of the crash. An investigation remains ongoing.
