Clinton Co, MI - Fatal Hit-and-Run on US 127 at Chadwick Under Inquiry

Clinton County, MI (December 4, 2023) - Clinton County Sheriff's Department officials are asking for help from the public in seeking the driver of a white SUV, who is believed to have witnessed a fatal crash on Old U.S. 127 at Chadwick Road on Wednesday, per local authorities.

Officials stress the individual is not involved in the crash, but may have details critical to assisting the crash reconstruction team in the investigation. Police say one of the suspected at-fault drivers may have left the scene after the incident occurred. The crash happened just after 5:00 p.m. and left one person dead, with several others hurt. Officials are asking the driver, or individuals who may know the driver, to call Sgt Clarke with the CCSD. An investigation remains ongoing at this time.
