Kalamazoo Co., MI – Fiery Rollover Crash on I-94 at MM 82

Kalamazoo Co., MI (December 8, 2023) – The Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office confirmed that one person was transported to an area hospital following a car crash that occurred on Friday morning in Kalamazoo County. The accident took place on December 8, prompting officials to close down the roadway.

According to preliminary crash investigations, a collision occurred on Interstate 94 near mile marker 82, blocking multiple eastbound lanes of the road. The force of the collision caused one vehicle to overturn. The vehicle then caught fire. Firefighters with the Comstock Fire & Rescue responded to the scene to provide assistance to the Kalamazoo County Sheriff's Office. Firefighters extinguished the fire as medical personnel tended to the victim. One person was transported to a local hospital for emergency care.
