Ionia Twp., MI – Car Crash with Injuries Reported on I-66 by W Riverside Dr

Ionia Twp., MI (December 11, 2023) – At least one person was transported to an area hospital with injuries following a car crash that occurred on Sunday afternoon in Ionia County. The crash was reported at approximately 1:56 p.m. on December 10.

According to reports provided by the Michigan State Police, a vehicle collision blocked both north and southbound lanes on Michigan 66, State Road. The incident caused moderate delays in the area between Riverside Drive and Tuttle Road. Authorities shut down the highway as they provided assistance in clearing the scene.

Emergency medical services personnel responded to the site of the crash to provide care to the victims who were injured as a result of the accident. Medics transported those who required further care to local hospitals. At this time, the Michigan state police is investigating to determine what caused this crash to occur.
