Warren, MI – Crash on I-696 near Groesbeck Highway Ends in injuries

Warren, MI (December 12, 2023) – A collision in Macomb County sent at least one person to a local hospital with injuries. The crash was reported at around 12:45 a.m. on December 11.

According to official reports, a collision between vehicles blocked the westbound lanes of Interstate 696. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway near Groesbeck Highway as emergency crews worked to remove the damaged vehicles from the left shoulder, left lane, and left center lane of travel. Medical personnel responded to the site of the collision to provide care to victims who were harmed. Those who required further medical attention were transported by ambulance to local hospitals. Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
