Wayne, MI – Injury Accident on M-39 at I-96

Wayne, MI (December 21, 2023) – Emergency crews were requested to provide assistance at the scene of an automobile accident that occurred in Wayne on Wednesday evening and sent at least one person with injuries to an area hospital. Calls for assistance came in at around 6:45 p.m. on December 20.

State police reports indicate that a collision between vehicles occurred on the southbound side of Michigan 39. The incident prompted the police and local firefighters to close off a portion of the roadway just after Interstate 96. At least one person sustained injuries in the crash and had to be transported by ambulance to a local medical facility for care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
