Macomb, MI – Multi-Vehicle Injury Accident Reported on Southfield Freeway

Macomb, MI (February 12, 2024) – Authorities were notified that their assistance was needed at the scene of a crash that occurred early Sunday morning, February 11.

At approximately 3:40 a.m., multiple vehicles crashed on the northbound side of Southfield Freeway. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway just north of Interstate 96. The incident, which involved a wrong-way driver, caused severe delays in the area. Vehicles had to be towed from the scene due to extensive damage. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for emergency medical treatment of injuries. At this time, investigations are underway.
