Durand, MI (February 17, 2024) – At least one person was injured as a result of a motor vehicle collision that occurred in Shiawassee County on Thursday morning, February 15. The accident was reported by the Michigan Department of Transportation at around 9:00 a.m.

According to law enforcement reports, a collision occurred on the westbound side of Interstate 69. The involved vehicles came to rest, blocking the left lane of the road near exit 118 at Michigan 71. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway while emergency crews remained on site. Medical personnel tended to the injured parties before transporting them to local hospitals.
