Washtenaw Co., MI – MDOT Reports Auto Wreck on US-23 at M-17

Washtenaw Co., MI (March 23, 2024) – Emergency crews and Washtenaw County were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident that occurred on Friday morning. The accident was reported by the Michigan Department of Transportation at around 8:30 a.m. on March 22.

Official reports indicate that a motor vehicle accident occurred on the northbound side of US Highway 23. The incident blocked multiple lanes of the road just after Michigan 17 at Exit 37.  Emergency services responded to the scene and closed off the right lane of travel to prevent further damage to the involved vehicles. Medical personnel responded to the injured victims and transported them to area hospitals. The Michigan Department of Transportation reported moderate delays in the area as emergency crews remained on the scene. The accident is currently being investigated.
