Lansing, MI. – A bus driver was killed in a fiery crash on Wednesday afternoon, April 30, in Ingham County.
According to the Ingham County Sheriff’s Office, the accident happened around 4:15 p.m. on I-96 near mile marker 113.
A CATA shuttle bus was traveling westbound when it rear-ended a semi-truck.
A 62-year-old bus driver was pronounced dead at the scene.
The bus burst into flames after the collision.
The semi-truck driver was unhurt.
Authorities determined that the bus was not carrying passengers at the time of the accident.
An investigation into the accident is ongoing.
