Detroit, MI – Injuries Reported in Auto Wreck on MI-39 near 8 Mile Rd

Detroit, MI (January 2, 2021) – A crash reported in the Detroit area caused injuries and delays on Sunday afternoon, January 2.

Just after 12:40 p.m., authorities were requested on-site at a crash on Michigan Route 39. The incident caused moderate delays on the southbound side of the roadway just after 8 Mile Road.

The police and firefighters closed off a portion of the road as they worked to remove vehicles and clear the scene.

At least one person was transported to an area hospital where they were provided medical treatment for their injuries.

At this time, investigations surrounding the cause of the crash are underway.
