Detroit, MI (July 17, 2023) - A motorcyclist was killed after being involved in a crash in Detroit on Sunday, July 16.

The fatal accident occurred at the intersection of Lawndale and Lane Streets that afternoon at around 3:23 p.m. A man in his 20s was riding a motorcycle when a white colored-van turned into his path. This caused the rider to lose control and crash his bike.

The suspect in the van fled the scene. The victim on the motorcycle suffered fatal injuries and was later pronounced dead. No additional information has been provided at this time.

Local authorities are conducting an investigation into the cause of the deadly motorcycle crash.
