Detroit, MI - I-94 Scene of Injury-Causing Wreck at Gratiot Ave

Detroit, MI (September 4, 2023) - Several people were hurt in a crash involving at least two automobiles that occurred on westbound Interstate 94 in the Greater Detroit region in the afternoon of Monday, September 4.

At least two vehicles apparently collided near the I-94 exit for Gratiot Avenue on Monday afternoon. A team from the Michigan State Patrol and officers from the Wayne County Sheriff's Office arrived just before 3:50 p.m. to begin an investigation. As traffic started to slow, the event reportedly occurred in the center of the highway.

The wounded people were taken to the hospital, but no more information about their status has been made public.

Local authorities have said they are still looking into the matter, but no new information has been released to the public.
