Detroit, MI (September 15, 2023) - After a major multi-vehicle crash on Friday afternoon, September 15, the exit ramp to 8 Mile Road from Interstate 94 was shut down.
Macomb County Sheriff's Office deputies responded to the accident, which took place on the 8 Mile ramp from the westbound side of I-94, at around 12:50 p.m.
Emergency medical treatment was requested by dispatch, though it is unknown how many individuals were hurt as a result of the incident. Officers also did not provide details on the extent of the victims' injuries.
The cause of the accident has yet to be determined, though deputies and troopers with the Michigan State Police are continuing to investigate the crash at this time.
